Everyone knows that Spring is a great time to tidy up your home. But who says that you can’t also use Spring cleaning as an opportunity to get your business in order?

If you’re looking to get your office organized and back on track this Spring, just follow Brand’s handy checklist.

  1. Declutter Your Digital Storage: Do you often find yourself struggling to find certain files? Take some time to go through each folder to make sure everything is in the proper place. As you go, you may come across duplicates files or old drafts that you can delete to clear up space. You can also use this time to finally clear out and organize your email inbox as well.
  2. Update Your Online Presence: It never hurts to add a fresh new look to your social media profiles or website. Take this time to look for anything that might be out of date. Where is your site or social media bio directing people? Make sure that users are being guided to your latest projects.
  3. Meet with Employees: Spring cleaning is an excellent time to schedule your annual performance reviews. Meeting with everyone in the company can help you check in on how they feel things are going. Ask them what problems they think need to be addressed or what suggestions they might have for improvement.
  4. Review Client List: With everything that goes into keeping a business running, it can be easy for one or two clients to go overlooked. Go through each client, one by one. Have you been meeting the goals you’ve set for each client? What projects could be added or dropped to improve those results?
  5. Clean Your Workspace: Let’s not forget the importance of actual Spring cleaning. Tidy up your desk. Get rid of that stack of old papers that’s been taking up space. You can always scan and digitally store any documents that you might need in the future.
  6. Review Your Goals: What were the missions you set out to reach this year? Take a look at your metrics. What progress have you made so far? With a freshly organized business, it should be easier than ever to restructure any initiatives or projects that aren’t meeting their marks.
