With all of the labor laws constantly being passed, it can be difficult to ensure that you’re always up to date. Here are some of the laws recently passed in New York and New Jersey as covered in our recent webinar, “HR Hot Topics,” that are absolutely vital for employers to be aware of.

1.      New Jersey employers will soon be required to give written notice to their employees if they are tracking their vehicles. This is something you absolutely need to know if you track employees who go out to make deliveries or service calls.

2.      As of May 2022, New York employers will be required to give written notice to their employees if they are monitoring their phone calls, emails, or internet access.

3.      According to the New York HERO Act, employers are required to do whatever they can to protect their employees from airborne diseases and have a written plan in place. This act is not just forC COVID-19 but applies to all airborne diseases.
